Gold finally! What a beautiful venue to race. Tasmania, you put on a good show! Will definitely aim to come back here and enjoy more of what this island has to offer.

It’s been a long time coming since I stood on the top of a podium, this time hearing the American anthemn for the first time. The road to Paris is looking brighter but the work is not done. I never thought I would be in as good as form as I was back in Rio but even in this 41 year old body, I am finding that I can still make gains. I credit this to a whole team of people that help me chip away at all the details to make every second faster. My coach, my prosthetists, my nutritionist, team managers, and most importantly, my family who make it all work.

Also, huge props to my USA teammate and friend, Howie Sanborn, on getting his first win too! Here’s to us for never quitting when things get tough and to keep grinding away till the next one.
