10 years ago, I went to my first CAF San Diego Triathlon challenge. It was only my second time in the USA and I could barely speak English, but that didn’t stop me from understanding how important this event was. For the first time, I didn’t feel alone in my disability. I met others with my exact same condition and saw the amazing things they were doing. There was such a sense of community and I came away knowing that I could do more. I would never say never to myself again. Here we are 10 years later and I have come away from two Paralympic experiences, raced around the world, and swam across the Gibraltar strait, traversed the Sahara desert, and climbed atop mountains. I am so happy to return to San Diego for another year of this event and revisit triathlon from when I was just first starting out. It has meant so much to be a part of CAF. Please join me to support this wonderful foundation help other athletes such as myself to have access to an active lifestyle and reach their dreams too. Donate what you can (link in bio) but know that it will be greatly appreciated as I have appreciated it. #teamcaf #lifewithoutlimitations
